WSU’s second football hype video features a flurry of action in offseason workouts

Washington State Football 2017 Match Preview Prediction and Players: Washington State started out 2016 just like they started 2015, losing to a Northwest FCS foe (Eastern Washington). But after a 0-2 start, the Cougars went on an eight game winning streak where they embarrassed a ranked Stanford team. Mike Leach’s team was able to break into the Top 25 before running into Colorado and Washington in consecutive weeks to end the regular season. Then they fell flat when playing against Minnesota in the Holiday Bowl to finish the season 8-5.

Well, Mike Leach is still the head coach, so you know they’re going to air it out. Question is, who’s going to catch all those balls? The Cougars are going to have to figure out who’s going to step up and replace the production of departed wide receivers Gabe Marks and River Cracraft. But then again, it’s Mike Leach’s team and so there is someone in line to step up alongside Tavares Martin Jr., the team’s best returning receiver.

LAS CRUCES  – New Mexico State football and Washington State have agreed to a deal to square off on the gridiron for the first time ever in program history for the 2019 campaign. The scheduled date of the competition is slated for Saturday, Aug. 31, in Martin Stadium. The announcement pushes the number of contracted games set for 2019 to six with half of the season remaining to be filled. Other games in 2019 for New Mexico State include Alabama, Georgia Southern, Liberty twice) and Louisiana Lafayette. New Mexico State’s 2017 scheduled features Arizona State, Arkansas, UTEP and New Mexico while Washington State’s consists of Montana State, Boise State, and Nevada.

Washington State Football 2017, The Cougars finished second in the Pac-12 North with an 8-5 overall record and 7-2 mark in conference play in 2016. After dropping its first two games of the season, WSU reeled off eight consecutive victories before falling in its final three contests of the year. Washington State has not announced its fall camp dates yet but our guess is the Cougs should be in the clear. If prior history is any indication under Mike Leach and with the opener scheduled for Sept. 2, Wazzu would appear likely to kick off its fall camp sometime during the first week of August. As linebackers coach Ken Wilson said earlier this spring on Bill Moos’ radio show, WSU will start fall ball with a couple practices in Pullman, head to Lewiston for eight days and then return to WSU for the rest of camp.

First of all, before I even begin explaining my reasoning here, allow me to complain for a moment. I hate when sportsbooks give you whole numbers for over/under. Put the hook on it. I’m not sitting here trying to bet on a push, all right? Picking a push is the easy way out, so show some damn spine, sportsbooks. Anyway, as for USC, I’m not picking a push. So if my options are over or under, I have a difficult time going over for a few reasons. One is that there just isn’t enough value on the over here, and another is that I’ve seen USC fail to live up to expectations enough times to know that the under is plenty likely. Source Link
